Clubs & crews

Every group here is real and verified. We do not list a club we have not checked, and we ask before we feature anyone.

Germany

Berlin Braves

Free

Berlin · Multiple sessions weekly · German / English

Started as a small crew in 2012 and grew into a full sports club with its own kit and a global following. The closest thing Berlin has to a running institution that is not a Verein.

Female Run Club Berlin

Free

Berlin · Tuesdays 18:00 and Sundays 10:00, Mitte and Pankow · German / English

Women-only, twice a week, no pace requirement. One of the easiest entry points into running in Berlin if turning up alone to a mixed group is the barrier.

Run Pack Berlin

Free

Berlin · Weekly, Mitte · English / German

Free, social and genuinely welcoming to people who have just moved to the city. English-speaking by default, which makes it the usual first run for newcomers.

Running FOMO Berlin

Free

Berlin · Ongoing — events platform · English / German

Less a crew than the index of every crew: a community platform that maps Berlin's run clubs and events. The single best starting point for a runner new to the city.

Isartrail Runners

Free

Munich · Every second Wednesday, Thalkirchen · German

Free, coach-led trail sessions from the Naturfreundehaus near Thalkirchen, along the Isar. Proof that a big city can have real trail running inside the S-Bahn ring.

Munich Running Society

Munich · Group training weekly, plus camps and coaching · German / English

Running together since 2016 and now active in Munich, Berlin and Hamburg. Group sessions, online coaching and training camps — structured rather than purely social.

Ireland

Clonliffe Harriers

Dublin · Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Morton Stadium, Santry · English

Ireland's oldest athletics club, and far less intimidating than that sounds — the same Tuesday session holds social runners and Olympians. Proper track, proper coaching.

DSD South Dublin AC

Dublin · Sundays 09:45, Marlay Park · English

Meet-and-train from the College Road car park at Marlay Park every Sunday morning, straight onto the Wicklow foothills. Structured group running without joining a squad.

Dublin Front Runners

Free

Dublin · Monday and Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings · English

An LGBTQIA+ and allies club running since 2005, explicitly built as a safe and supportive space for every ability. Three sessions a week and a genuinely low bar to turning up for the first time.

Dublin Runners

Dublin · Several runs weekly · English

A Meetup group rather than a club, deliberately non-competitive and used to people arriving alone. Nominal annual fee. Good if you want company without commitment.

Run Talk Run Dublin

Free

Dublin · Weekly · English

A slow social jog whose actual point is the talking — a welcoming space built around mental wellbeing. No pace, no pressure, and nobody gets left behind.

parkrun Ireland

Free

Nationwide · Every Saturday, 09:30 · English

Free, timed, 5km, every Saturday morning, in parks all over the country — and with over half a million people registered in the Republic, roughly one in ten of the population. Walk it, run it or volunteer. There is no easier front door into Irish running.

Netherlands

Patta Running Team

Free

Amsterdam · Weekly, plus race trips · Dutch / English

Born out of the Patta store in 2010, and the clearest example anywhere of running as culture rather than sport — streetwear, music and a crew that turns up to races together. If the athletics-club model puts you off, start here.

RunClubs.nl

Free

Nationwide · Ongoing — directory · Dutch / English

Not a crew but the index of them: weekly social runs listed city by city across the Netherlands. The fastest way to find something near you that meets this week.

Dutch and Irish clubs are next

We are researching these first-hand rather than copying a list from somewhere else. Run a club in the Netherlands or Ireland? Tell us and we will come and check it out.
